Nubaroo - suspension upgrade

Post by Nubaroo »

So as I cannot find Coilovers for the Daewoo anywhere I took matters in my own hands. The result is an adjustable suspension using my existing Monroe Schocks, some H&R 250 pound springs (200MM) and some threaded pipe and some more bits and bobs :D :D

Works like a dream - car is about 10mm lower on street tires and I can raise the front about 1 inch on race days to accommodate my drag slicks.

Whoa haha cool! very creative. Would coilovers for the Optra/Forenza fit your car? There are a couple choices for that car...
2004 Optra/Forenza/Lacetti - 225whp - Haltech Sprint500 - CT12B - Getrag F28 6spd - KW V3 Coilovers - FX35 Retrofit
2002 IS300 5MT - 615whp - AEM EMS - GT4088R - Built 9.5CR - R154 - TRD LSD - SupraTT T/B - Varex - LS430 Retrofit

The threaded pipe, nuts and cups/spacers was machined by a good friend of my tuner :D :D :D

Modifying my existing shocks with these and the H&r springs cost me a whopping $200 :D :D :D :D and a bit of elbowgrease!!

The Astra shocks does not fit in the Woo as far as I know??

thats some bad ass ghetto suspension you got going there. nice work.

this now paves the way for everyone else struggling to get hold of "plug-n-play" adjustable suspension.
