List of State Inspection Regulations on Customs

Post by bluesheepbrian »

Was wondering if anybody has any info on how I can find any info
about what is legal in the state that somebody is in, for example what
can be legal for straight through mufflers, or clear rear lights(what color
needs to be shown). Found a little info on my state for window tinting but
that is about it.

Just do not want to be stopped by some cop.

Well unless I am speeding

In Texas, where I am, if you have clear lights on the rear you have to have at least one red reflector on each side. That's not saying that a cop wont pull you over for not having red brake lights either. But I do know that you have to have a red reflector on each side for safety purposes and you will get a nice hefty fine for not having it. I had pure clear altezza's on my crx and got a $350 ticket for not having the red reflectors, $175 each side.

I should look into the laws here so I don't end up getting a ticket like that.
There have been many cops behind me so far, but none have pulled me. Maybe they have not because I always drive with my lights on and my clear lights at the back are always lit up red so you do not notice there is no reflector.
