Valve Cover Gasket

Post by wolfsreign »

as the subject says.
im in dire need of a new one.

2000 Lanos HB (3DR) 1.6 DOHC

anystores?
sellers?
gse_turbo?

the stock one fit nicely, it was an upside down T.
the new one i got when i overhauled my block, and it was just a | kind.
so it leaked the first time, me and my dad did silicon glue, and now it leaks again, and its leaking ALL over my engine.
im not looking for the cheap Ebay kind. i need that will actually SEAL under the pressure going up to 67k rpm.
thanks in advance

any idea what part number, or what years of aveo gaskets are compatible with a 2001 lanos 1.6?

sigh, long time to reply, sorry, but i went to the chevy dealer while back, and bought a collant rewsivor cap, foudn the problem to mine was it wasnt keeping the 13psi pressure, the tab that kept the pressure in was missing oddly. new one works perfect :) but the valve gasket was like i already have, so i told them peace.

still anyone? -.- my last resort is drummel tool-ing the valve body to fit the gasket... i dont want metal shavings in my engine. help.

96351213 is the T-type gasket and you need to order two 96144621 D-seal plugs to go with it. The + type gasket is the Aveo type and already comes with the D-seals attached.
